We are no longer accepting orders for the 2024 season.

A huge thank you to all of you who placed iris orders with us this year whether online or in person. It was so nice getting to meet all of you that visited the garden during bloom season. We are learning that the iris community is full of wonderful people!

Another huge thank you to Jim Exline for all of his support. We had some challenges with the weather and hungry deer and just learning the ropes of running the garden, but Jim was there to patiently help us along the way. Thank you Jim.

It was a memorable first season for us and we are looking forward to next year! We are excited about some upcoming new changes for Exline Iris Garden- including a brand new website for 2025. Hope to see you next year!

Unfortunately, we have had significant deer damage to the irises in the past month or two. We are guessing the damage is worse than usual due to the drought; we’ve never had deer damage this bad in the past.

We are still taking stock of the damage; fingers crossed we will still be able to fill most orders. There is a possibility we won’t be able to fill all the orders we received this season. If we do not have an iris you ordered due to deer damage, we will email and give you a full refund for that iris.

We would like to apologize in advance for any orders that we won’t be able to fulfill. We didn’t anticipate the deer enjoying our irises quite so much this year.

Thank you all in advance for your patience as we work through this, and for your continued support of Exline Iris Garden.

Exline Iris Garden is now closed to walk-in visitors for the 2024 season. If you would still like to purchase some irises, you can do so on our website on the “Shop” page.

We will start shipping irises in July. Local pickup for any iris orders done this year will be July 19 or 21.

Thank you to everyone who came to visit the garden this season!

After 53 years of tending to my iris garden I have decided it is time to retire. I really didn’t want to. The mind said “you can do it” but my 78 year old body says, “no way.”

With my retirement I do have some good news. I found a family that has bought the business. The really good news is that they will retain the name and their new location will only be a few miles from the current site of the garden. They will be selling from the current location for the next couple of years until they get all the inventory moved. I will continue to be in the garden for this year helping them as they start their new journey into growing irises.

The only real change will be there will be no Saturday sales starting this year. They are going to continue the website and will be taking over the facebook page in the near future.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my customers and visitors over the last 50 years of selling irises. I feel that I have been truly blessed to have met so many wonderful people and to do something that I truly love to do. Over those years I have gabbed to thousands of people. It is hard to believe but many of them return year after year even after listening to me ramble on about this and that. I will especially miss interacting with many families, some of which I have gabbed to for over three generations. Ahh, but do not fear the new owner said she loves to gab also.

Please support the new owners as you have supported me over the years.

The garden will open this Friday the 10th. Hours will be noon to 6 Sunday thru Friday as long as there is bloom. Garden will be closed on Saturdays.

May god bless – Don’t forget to stop and smell the flowers.

Jim
